A Victor Wembanyama Rookie Card Just Sold for $5.11 Million — the Most Expensive Non-Autographed NBA Card Ever
The 2023-24 Panini Prizm Black parallel, a one-of-one graded PSA 10, doesn't even carry his signature — and it still sold for six times his previous card record.
A 2023-24 Panini Prizm Black parallel rookie card of Victor Wembanyama — a one-of-one graded PSA 10 — sold for $5.11 million in a private sale brokered by Fanatics Collect, announced May 26, 2026.
The price makes it the most expensive non-autographed NBA card ever sold, and the fourth-highest publicly known sale of any NBA card. It far surpassed Wembanyama's previous card record of $860,100, paid in February 2025 for a 2023-24 Panini Prizm Nebula Choice one-of-one graded PSA 9.
Wembanyama has no officially licensed autographed rookie cards: Panini still held the NBA's exclusive trading-card license during his 2023-24 rookie season, while he was already locked into a separate autograph deal with Fanatics — a gap that has pushed premium non-autographed parallels like this one to command outsized prices.
The card had drawn hobby scrutiny over a prior question about restoration treatment before PSA graded it. The anonymous buyer said the controversy didn't factor into the purchase, citing confidence in Wembanyama's long-term ceiling as a player.
