How we measure

Players tracked
Every player with a Sports Card Hunt page. Every night we check eBay for each one.
Auction bids
The bids on a player’s 200 soonest-ending eBay auctions that night, counted the same way every night.
Bid surge
One night’s bids divided by the player’s usual: the median of their nights before. Only nights with 50+ bids, for players who usually get 20+, count, so a jump from 2 to 9 isn’t a headline.
Recorded sales
Final eBay prices of the specific cards on our player pages, each sale counted once. Not every card sold on eBay.
New boxes
The cheapest and typical Buy It Now asks for sealed boxes on eBay, against the maker’s list price (MSRP) when it’s published.
Hunt Score
Our 1–99 rating of how hard collectors are chasing a player’s cards this week: the size of their eBay market, auction demand, momentum and recorded sales, ranked across every player we track. Over 99 means one of the two or three hottest players in the hobby this week. The recipe is on the most hunted board.
Weeks
Monday to Sunday (UTC). Each finished week is saved as it was, so a number you quote won’t change. Each player’s current Hunt Score is on the most hunted board.
